Google hit with $1.5 billion fine over app store, search breaches
Google fined €890 million by the EU for violating the Digital Markets Act: €460 million for favouring its own services in search results, and €430 million for restricting app developers' ability to steer users to rival app stores. The Commission indicated further daily penalties are unlikely given "constructive dialogue" and progress on compliance.
