European Commission fines Google $1B for anti-competition practices
The European Commission fined Google $1 billion for violating the Digital Markets Act by favouring its own products in search results and Google Play, and restricting app developers from communicating alternative offers to customers. Google has 60 days to comply or face fines up to 5% of global revenue.
