U.S. Embassy Seeks Delay to Digital Markets Regulation at Big Tech's Request

The U.S. Embassy in Brazil has twice requested delays to Brazil's digital markets regulation bill at the urging of major tech companies including Amazon, Google, OpenAI, Microsoft and Apple. The bill would establish a Special Superintendency within Brazil's antitrust authority to enforce algorithmic transparency and prevent platforms from favoring their own products.
