Volkswagen's Chinese division is deepening its partnership with Horizon Robotics to accelerate development of Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving technology, with Level 3 vehicles launching in China in 2027 and Level 2++ urban driving cars rolling out this year. The company is also partnering with XPeng to develop an electronics platform for exporting autonomous driving systems across Central and Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
