Badenova, Herrenknecht finalize joint geothermal project in Hartheim, Germany

Badenova and Herrenknecht have finalised a 50-50 joint venture to develop a deep geothermal heating project near Freiburg, Germany, with €60m investment to supply 2000 households. The project has received regulatory approval and drilling is scheduled to begin in H2 2027 at 3200 metres depth.
