Seoul acknowledge N. Korea's nuclear capability rejects nuclear-state status

South Korea officially acknowledges North Korea's advanced nuclear weapons capability but does not recognize Pyongyang as a formal nuclear-weapon state. Seoul maintains it will not pursue nuclear sharing, its own nuclear arsenal, or redeployment of U.S. tactical nuclear weapons while continuing to strengthen military readiness.
