Classic McEliece, a code-based post-quantum cryptography algorithm developed by UK firm Post-Quantum, has been integrated into ISO/IEC 18033-2, making it the first PQC algorithm to achieve global standardisation under this asymmetric cipher standard. The algorithm is now available for adoption across ISO's 177 member states and is already recommended by German and Dutch national security agencies for protecting long-shelf-life data and has been deployed on battlefield drones.
