Huawei's Ren Zhengfei backs Tau Scaling Law to beat US sanctions
Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei has publicly endorsed the company's Tau Scaling Law as a survival strategy to circumvent US chip export controls, with the company claiming it can achieve 1.4-nanometre-equivalent transistor densities by 2031 without advanced EUV lithography. The Kirin 2026 mobile processor, shipping this autumn, already demonstrates a 55% transistor density boost using the Tau-derived LogicFolding architecture.
