NIELIT and Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL) have integrated SCL's indigenous 1.2 µm Process Design Kit (PDK) with eChipHub, an MeitY-funded education platform, to provide students, researchers, startups and MSMEs access to India's domestic chip design and fabrication technology. The collaboration creates an end-to-end design-to-fabrication learning pathway using open-source tools and indigenous process technology, with NIELIT targeting training of 30,000 students in semiconductor design.
