EGAT Outlines Five-Phase Plan for Small Nuclear Reactors

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has initiated a five-phase plan to develop small modular nuclear reactors, starting with feasibility studies and aiming for up to 9,000 MW of nuclear capacity by 2050. The plan includes regulatory approvals, construction, operation, and decommissioning, with a target to begin a 300 MW reactor by 2037.
