Hungary's financial regulator granted CoinCash operator Tiwala Solutions a CASP license under MiCA, making it the first and only Hungarian crypto provider authorised to operate under the EU framework. The approval covers six service categories including custody, exchange, and advisory, following a 16-month review process.

This Wire brief sits within Fusion42's coverage of Fintech. Wire is Fusion42's founder-focused intelligence feed: each story is connected to the funds and startups it names — every one with a live profile on Raise or Scout — so founders can follow the capital and the momentum behind the headline rather than just the headline itself. Wire analysis is one of the live surfaces Arthur reasons over.

◆ The Wire takeaway

CoinCash is now the only licensed crypto platform in Hungary—every other provider shut down or left when the regulator set a July 2025 deadline. If you operate crypto custody, exchange or advisory in Central Europe, you either compete with a regulator-blessed monopoly or move to a softer jurisdiction; the door to Hungary just closed.
