Oracle has issued a force majeure notice for its Stargate data center in New Mexico, allowing it to delay payments if the facility fails to come online by its 2028 target.

This Wire brief sits within Fusion42's coverage of Cloud Infrastructure, and 3 sources have reported it between 24 Sep 2026 and 25 Sep 2026.

◆ ◆ The Wire takeaway

You should re-evaluate any contracts or partnerships dependent on Oracle's New Mexico data center going live. This delay signals a potential gap in Oracle's capacity expansion that could open opportunities for competitor cloud providers.
