South Africa's Department of Home Affairs has proposed regulations to introduce a ZAR 500 (~£21) fee for its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) and other online visa applications. The plan also includes expanding the digital ETA system to all visa-required countries for tourism and business, with public comments open until August 11, 2026.
